Past

The history of patients in the healthcare system is filled with atrocities that created a lack of trust in the healthcare system, especially in clinical research.

Present

The FDA has drafted a guidance that is now law. Pharma and the healthcare industry must include a Diversity Action Plan, which will include all patients in clinical trials, in order to produce better results in medicines and better healthcare for all patients.

Future

More patients with the understanding and knowledge needed to make conscious decisions in their healthcare reduces the chances of patients returning for the same illness.
